At all times, at least one participant from each team must be moving along the route. The only points where relay changes and logistical or nutritional assistance are permitted are the Checkpoints (PDC); any external assistance outside these points is prohibited, except in the event of a major emergency.

There is no maximum number of relay changes. The GPS device provided by the organisation must be carried at all times and passed from one runner to another at each changeover.

La Brava Trail is a semi-self-sufficient event. This means that every participant must start each section with enough water and food to reach the next aid station.

All aid stations are also Checkpoints (PDC), where participants’ passage will be recorded. They provide water and drinks, fruit, nuts, and sweets to help you refuel during the route.

Aid stations offer support, but they do not replace individual self-sufficiency: each runner is responsible for carrying enough hydration and nutrition to safely complete the section to the next point.
